Spring 2009 – staff, faculty members and students from the Luria Library, Santa Barbara College tool on knit-a-square as a community project. They delivered between them 128 squares. This is the article in the College online magazine.
July 2009 – Dhanu Miskin, a fourth year student at New Jersey Medical School introduced knit-a-square to the faculty.
July 28 2009 – Katherine Gustafson is a freelance writer and editor with a background as a professional fundraiser, journal editor, document developer, and project administrator for international nonprofit organizations. She wrote this article for the good news website Tonic.com, Tonic recieves 35,000 unique visitors a month.
